With the festive season drawing closer, we are all looking at ways to save on our daily expenses in order to pay for our well deserved holidays and/or, the expenses associated with the celebration of Christmas.
Insurance unfortunately is one of those grudge purchases that most of us know we cannot do without, but wish we could, and therefore it also becomes one of the first areas we target in decreasing our expenditure. The risk of this however far outweighs the benefits.
For example; if you were planning a self drive holiday, you would be increasing your exposure to possible accidental damage as well as theft.
You would also be leaving your home unattended and this would considerably increase your risk of a burglary.
Then there are the smaller things to consider like for instances losing your cell phone while doing Christmas shopping, or the escalation in micro crimes like for instance bag snatching and pick pocketing over this period.
In our insurance help section we look at tips for the festive season and the areas of your cover which you would need to look at to ensure you can enjoy a worry free holiday.
In upcoming updates we will be taking a look at the meanings and definitions of insurance terms that we the consumer have to deal with on a regular basis. We will unpack the general policy conditions associated with short term insurance and as always attempt to make your insuring as hassle free as possible
